Illustration Workshop for Kids
February 21st / March 21st

Mina Museum kids workshops

The “Heart That Connects” Workshop proposes the creation of a tactile, wearable art object, designed as a contemporary mărțișor, meant to be gifted to a mother or a loved one. The workshop explores the ideas of connection, care, and attachment through a hands-on process that involves both the construction of the object and the personalization of a visual message.

Children create an oversized, three-dimensional heart made from soft textile materials, which they manually “bind” with colorful thread. The gesture of passing the thread through the material becomes a metaphor for an emotional relationship—something that is built, protected, and offered.

The workshop combines:

  • working with textile materials
  • fine motor skills development
  • symbolic thinking
  • personal graphic expression

The focus is on the process, not just the result, and each final object reflects the child’s individual choices: color, rhythm, method of binding, and visual message.
