MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art, with the support of Sector 2 Municipality, has launched “After Museum Hours. Frida Kahlo & Henri Rousseau – The Dreaming Garden”, a new cultural and educational project bringing art, technology, and immersive experiences closer to the community.
The programme includes a free immersive show, free admission for children to MINA Immersive and MINA Kids, and 10 painting workshops designed to make discovering art an interactive, creative, and accessible experience.
Drawing on the artistic worlds of Frida Kahlo and Henri Rousseau, the project aims to turn encounters with painting into a vivid, interactive, and memorable experience. Participants will discover art from a new perspective, with technology serving as a tool for exploration and learning.
On 5 October at 17:00, the immersive concert “The Garden of Sounds” will take place, followed by a screening of “Hidden Stories in Paintings – The Dreaming Garden”. The event will bring together music, art, and technology in an immersive experience for children, families, teachers, and the entire Sector 2 community. Admission is free, subject to availability. The project also supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them free admission to MINA Immersive and MINA Kids from 28 September to 1 November. Through these experiences, MINA gives children the opportunity to discover art in a format different from that of a conventional museum, with images, sound, and technology creating an immersive and personal encounter with artworks.

From 7 to 28 October, 10 free painting workshops will take place under the title “Great Artists Through Children’s Eyes: My Imaginary Garden”, for children aged 5 to 14.
The workshops will encourage children to observe, use their imagination, and create their own artworks inspired by the artistic worlds of Frida Kahlo and Henri Rousseau. Participants will explore the idea of an “imaginary garden”, turning their own stories and images into visual creations. Participation is free, subject to availability.
