MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art invites the public on a spectacular journey through the mysteries of the ocean, with its new immersive show: “In the Heart of the Ocean” – an original production by the MINA Creative Studio team. This visual and auditory experience brings to the forefront the wonders, ecosystems, marine life, and fascinating mysteries of the aquatic realm, in a captivating format accessible to all ages.
In the Heart of the Ocean is an immersive experience that takes you on a sensory exploration of the ocean—a vast, living space still full of mysteries. From the calm surface to depths where light barely penetrates, the show follows the descent of a submersible and the transformations that come with it.
Over the course of approximately 20 minutes, image, sound, and movement come together to create the sensation of a real dive. Colors gradually shift, pressure increases, and the rhythm changes. Vibrant reefs, schools of fish, turtles, dolphins, and sharks appear and disappear within a constantly evolving ecosystem, where every detail depends on balance and adaptation.
As the journey progresses, not only do spectacular moments emerge—shipwrecks turned into habitats or traces of sunken cities—but also the ocean’s less visible mechanisms: currents, communication between species, and the ways life organizes and adapts under extreme conditions. Visitors are not just spectators; they become part of a space that is constantly changing around them.
At the same time, the show highlights the ocean as an essential system for life on Earth—fragile, interconnected, and directly affected by climate change. This immersive experience transforms the space into a living canvas where the ocean becomes more than a destination; it becomes a journey of discovery and understanding.
