The immersive show "The Uprising Stories," adapted from a text by Sînziana Popescu, is Romania's first immersive theater production dedicated to children and their parents, created in partnership with the Stela Popescu Theater.
"The Uprising Stories" is more than just a theater performance – it’s a unique New Media Art experience that blends theater, technology, and interaction to bring the magical world of stories to life. Through this show, we aim to revive the charm of storytelling for young audiences, offering them an open door to the world of books.
The performance will take place in an innovative space equipped with state-of-the-art technology, designed to provide a captivating and interactive experience.
"The Uprising Stories" speaks about the loss of the pleasure of leisurely flipping through a book and imagining magical tales, characters, and colors. It conveys the message that stories can only continue to exist if they are read, cultivated, and loved. Otherwise, all the beloved characters from our childhood fairy tales rebel, become ugly, and turn obsolete. The play’s heroes, Mihai and George – children themselves – enter the world of knowledge and imagination with the task of saving the fairy tale characters from being forgotten and rekindling the emotion of encountering them.
