An interactive concert for children, inspired by the magic of Tchaikovsky
MINA – Museum of Immersive New Art hosts a new musical episode from the SoNoRo Kids series: a sonic journey through the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, featuring music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and a live piano performance by Ioan-Dragoș Dimitriu.
Musical stories brought to life
The event brings to the stage iconic melodies from Tchaikovsky’s ballet, in a format specially adapted for children, where music tells stories about dreams, fairies, and courage. From the theme of enchanted sleep to the radiant awakening, each musical piece is accompanied by simple explanations and vivid soundscapes designed to spark children’s imagination.
Every child becomes part of the performance
In the participatory spirit of SoNoRo Kids, each child receives a musical instrument at the end of the concert and is invited to join the performer in a collective musical moment. Together with the pianist, the children will create a small dream orchestra, where every sound becomes part of an enchanted finale.
About the artist
Ioan-Dragoș Dimitriu is a Romanian pianist with a strong international career, recognized for his talent and his ability to bring classical music closer to young audiences. Through the SoNoRo Kids concerts, he creates a space where children not only listen to music, but also feel it and create it themselves.
