"The Most Famous Classical Romanian Painters: An Immersive Journey Through Romanian Art" is a multimedia show that highlights the works of the most important Romanian artists: Nicolae Grigorescu, Nicolae Tonitza, Ștefan Luchian, and Theodor Aman. This immersive production reinterprets over 60 iconic paintings and sketches, selected from the collections of the national art museums in Bucharest - the Theodor Aman Museum and the Pinacoteca, part of the Bucharest Municipal Museum - as well as from museums in Brașov, Cluj-Napoca, Galați, Iași, and Constanța. Among them are famous Romanian works such as “Ox Cart,” “Little Bells,” “The Union of the Principalities,” and “The Magnate’s Daughter.”
The selection and reinterpretation of these works through an immersive exhibition aim to increase the visibility and appreciation of Romanian art. In a global context where immersive exhibitions dedicated to international artists such as Van Gogh and Monet are very popular, “The Most Famous Classical Romanian Painters: An Immersive Journey Through Romanian Art” offers a unique opportunity to highlight the contribution and influence of Romanian artists on the universal cultural heritage. This project not only brings the works of great Romanian painters to the forefront but also promotes a deeper understanding of Romanian art and culture within a contemporary international context. "The Most Famous Classical Romanian Painters: An Immersive Journey into Romanian Art" thus contributes to the development of Romania’s new media arts scene and the revitalization of cultural heritage, offering the public an experience that combines technological innovation, artistic expression, and active participation.
