MATISSE

The immersive show

The show offers an emotional and visual journey into the chromatic universe of French painter Henri Matisse, capturing his artistic evolution from shades of grey to the intensity of red.

The show has a duration of 20 minutes and is structured in 7 acts, built around two major moments of tension: the experience of war and the confrontation with illness. Red becomes the central color of the narrative, symbolizing both deep emotion and the inner strength of transformation.

The new show explores themes such as: the transition from grey to color, the expressiveness of forms, the impact of war on Matisse’s work, illness as a turning point in his career, and artistic reinvention through the cut-out technique. In the climactic moments of the show, the audience is surrounded by monumental projections of iconic works, accompanied by a soundtrack that reflects the emotional state of each act.

Each section is supported by selected quotes from Henri Matisse’s statements, which shape his artistic philosophy. Among the visual works reinterpreted in the show are The Red Studio, The Snail, La Danse, and the series of collages created during the later period of his life.

“Matisse – The immersive show” offers a synthesis of emotion, color, and form, inviting visitors into a complete artistic experience, where Matisse’s legacy is rediscovered in a contemporary format.
